The anchor

Can there be a greater gift than the security that we generate no claim in ourselves for salvation? It is a security not guaranteed by race, ethnicity, tribe or tongue. It is a promise given to those who hold fast to the veracity of a three day event in history. Even to wander is to feel the tug on our bodies away from that event… It is a tug felt physically, spiritually, and mentally.

But to feel the weighty anchor of our faith as we strain against it is a reminder of the security we have.
