Yesterday was a big day in our church… Baptisms! And they were all around 12 years old. They had an amazing time at Rhodes Grove Camp and it showed as they made their commitment to go down deep.
There are a couple of things I find extraordinary about these kids, but the most amazing is their families. It didn’t catch me by complete surprise that these kids wanted to be baptized. Yes, they are the ones who made the decision at camp, but their families had been laying a foundation in their lives for a long time. They had made decisions to take their kids to church, to get them involved in the ministries there and talk to their kids about their own faith. These parents lead their children.
So, yeah, I cried.
