A reflection on multiplication and progeny

You don’t suppose that when God told Adam and Eve to “be fruitful and mutiply” he actually was telling them to be prodigious with their trees and to work on their maths, do you? Maybe early Hebrew was really hard for the first couple and they just missed the point entirely?

Could we owe our existence to a mere translation error?
